Minimum Rate of Wages – Haryana (April, 2026)

The Haryana Government’s Labour Department has issued a gazette notification revising the basic minimum rates of wages for all employments in the state, effective 1st April, 2026.

Key Points:

  • Wages apply to all establishments, factories, employees, workers, and contract labour under the Code on Wages, 2019.
  • Wages cannot be split into allowances — they must be paid as a whole.
  • No gender pay difference — equal wages for men and women.
  • Trainees are paid 75% of the applicable category wage, but never less than the unskilled rate; training period capped at one year.
  • Per-day wages are calculated by dividing monthly wages by 26 days; deductions use 30 days.
  • Principal employers are responsible for ensuring contractors also pay minimum wages
